Black Cohosh:  Black Snake Root, Bugbane, Rattle Root, Squaw Root. Medicinal Uses:  Relaxant & normalizer of female reproductive system, painful or delayed menstruation, ovarian cramps or uterine cramps, regaining normal  hormonal activity, rheumatic pains, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, & muscular & neurological pain, sciatica & neuralgia, whooping cough, tinnitus. Blue Stone:  Magical Uses:  Healing.  Caution:  This is a hazardous, potent, or poisonous botanical & should be handled with caution.

Cat's Claw:  Magical Uses:  Protects from slander, arguments, & harassment from enemies.

Cedar:  Magical Uses:  Healing, purification, money & protection.  Symbol of power & longevity.  How Used:  Burned or sachets.

Chamomile Flower:  Camomyle, Chamaimelon, Ground Apple, Heermannchen (German) Manzanilla (Sp.), Maythen, Roman Camomile, Whig Plant.  Medical Uses:  Fevers; calms excited, emotional conditions & irritability associated with menses.  Magical Uses:  Money, sleep, meditation, hex-breaking, love, & purification.  How Used:  Baths, burn, sprinkle, ingest, inhale.

Chickweed:  Adder's Mouth, Indian Chickweed, Passerina, Satin Flower, Star Chickweed, Starweed, Starwort, Stellaire (Fr.), Stitchwort, Tongue Grass, Winterweed.  Medical Uses:  Cuts, wounds, itching, irritation, eczema or psoriasis, rheumatism.  Magical Uses:  Fertility & love.  How Used:  Ingest, topical.

Cinnamon:  Sweet Wood.  Medical Uses:  Coughs, circulation, colds, blood sugar regulation.  Magical Uses:  Spirituality, success, healing, power, psychic powers, lust, protection, love.  How Used:  Burned, ingested, chewed, sachets.

Cloves:  Medical Uses:  Nausea, vomiting, flatulence, digestive stimulation, toothaches.  Magical Uses:  Protection, exorcism, love, money.  How Used:  Ingested, topical, burned, carried.

Coltsfoot:  Ass's Foot, British Tobacco, Bull's Foot, Butterbur, Coughwort, Pas d' and (Fr.), Sponnc (Irish).  Medical Uses:  Chronic or acute bronchitis, irritating coughs, whooping coughs & asthma, most respiratory conditions, cystitis, boils, abscesses & suppurating ulcers.  Magical Uses:  Love & vision.  How Used:  Topical, sachets, smoked, ingested.  Caution:  Use with caution.  Avoid long term use and if pregnant or  nursing.

Comfrey:  Assear, Black Wort, Bonset, Bruisewort, Consolida, Consound, Gum Plant, Healing Herb, Knit Back, Knit Bone, Miracle Herb, Slippery Root, Wallwort, Yalluc.  Medical Uses:  Gastric & duodenal ulcers, hiatus hernia & ulcerative colitis, hemorrhage, bronchitis & irritable coughs, wound healing, scarring, chronic varicose ulcers.  Magical Uses:  Safety during travel & money.  How Used:  Carried, topical, ingested. Caution: External use only.  In deep wounds, external application can lead to tissue forming over wound before it is healed deeper down, possible abscess formation.  Should not be uses on abraded or unbroken skin  for prolonged periods.  Do not use during pregnancy.

Copal:  Magical Uses:  Love & Purification.  How Used:  Burned & poppets.

Damiana:  Mexican Damiana.  Medical Uses:  Depression & anxiety where there is a sexual factor, weak male sexual system.  Magical Uses:  Lust, love, vision.  How Used:  Ingested & burned.

Devil's Shoestring Root:  Magical Uses: Protection, gambling luck, power, employment.  How Used:  Worn, carried, topically.

Dill:   Anton, Dill Weed, Dilly, Garden Dill.  Medical Uses:  Flatulence & colic, low milk production, halitosis.  Magical Uses:  Protection, money, lust, love.  How Used: Chewed, ingested, hung by door, carried, baths.

Dong Quai: Tang Ki.  Medical Uses:  Circulatory problems, hypertension, constipation, PMS, menopause, menstrual irregularity.  How Used:  Ingested.  Caution:  Do not use during pregnancy or if taking blood thinning agents.

Dragon's Blood:  Blood, Blume, Calamus Draco, Dracconis Rosina, Sanguis Draconis, Draagon's Blood Palm.  Magical Uses:  Love, protection, exorcism, potency.  How Used:  Burned, carried, sprinkled.

Elder Berries:  Alhaven, Battree, Boure Tree, Bour 'Tree, Eldrum, Ellhorn, Frau Holle (Ger.), Hildemoer (Ger.), Hollunder (Ger.), Hylder, Lady Ellhorn, Old Gal, Old Lady, Pipe Tree, Rob Elder, Sureau (Fr.), Sweet Elder, Tree of Doom, Yakori bengeskro (Romany -Devil's Eye).  Medicinal Uses:  Rheumatism, colds & influenza, respiratory inflammation.  Magical Uses:  Exorcism, Protection, healing, prosperity, sleep.  How Used:  Worn, hung, carried, scattered, slept on, ingested.

Ephedra:  Ma Huang.  Medicinal Uses:  Asthma, bronchial spasms, bronchitis, whooping cough, allergic reactions, hypo-tension, & circulatory insufficiency.  How Used:  Ingested.  Caution:  Consult your physician before using, especially if pregnant, nursing, hypertensive, diabetic, with cardiac or thyroid disease, experiencing difficulty in urination, suffer-ing from anxiety, or taking a MAO inhibitor or other prescription drug.  Reduce or discontinue if nervousness, tremor, insomnia, nausea or loss of appetite develop.  Not recommended for individuals under 18.  Keep away from children.

Eucalyptus: Blue Gum Tree, Stringy Bark Tree.  Medicinal Uses:  Respiratory problems & insect repellant. Magical Uses:  Healing & protection.  How Used:  Poppets, carried, burned, hung, slept on, simmered.  Caution:  Not to be used by persons with inflammatory diseases of the gastrointestinal and bile ducts and sever diseases of the liver.

Fennel Seed:  Medicinal Uses:  Flatulence & colic, poor digestion or appetite, bronchitis &  coughs, low milk production, conjunctivitis & inflammation of eyelids.  Magical Uses:   Protection, healing, purification.  How Used:  Ingested, compresses, worn, hung, sachets.

Fenugreek Seed:  Bird's Foot, Greek Hay Seed.  Medical Uses:  Wounds, boils, sores, fistulas, tumors, bronchitis, sore throats, indigestion, poor milk production. Magical Uses:  Money.  How Used:  Gargled, ingested, topical, floor wash, saved.

Hibiscus:  Kharkady (Arab.).  Magical Uses:  Lust, love, divination.  How Used:  Ingested, incense, sachets, divination.

High John the Conqueror:  Jalap.  Magical Uses:  Money, love, success, happiness.  How Used:  Sachet, carried.
Hops:  Beer Flower, Flor de Cerveza.  Medical Uses:  Insomnia, tension, anxiety, mucous colitis, skin ulcers.  Magical Uses: Healing & sleep.  How Used:  Ingested, topical slept on, sachets, incense.  Caution: Not recommended for use by persons suffering from depression.

Jasmine:   Jessamin, Moonlight on the Grove.  Medical Uses:  Stress, fever .  Magical Uses: Love, money, prophetic dreams.  How Used:  Sachets, carried, burned, worn, smelled, ingested.

Job's Tears:   Tear Grass.  Magical Uses:  Healing, wishes, luck.  How Used:  Worn or carried.

Juniper: Enebro, Gemeiner Wachholder (Gr.), Geneva, Gin Berry, Ginepro, Gin Plant. Medical Uses:  Cystitis, flatulent colic, rheumatism & arthritis.  Magical Uses:  Protection, antitheft, love, exorcism, health.  How Used:  Ingested, incense, hung, burned, carried.  Caution:  Do not use for more than six weeks in succession. Avoid in any kidney disease or pregnancy.

Kava Kava: Ava, Ava Pepper, Ava Root, Awa Root, Intoxication Pepper.  Medical Use: Depression.  Magical Use:  Viions, protection, luck.  How Used:  Ingested.  Caution: Avoid overuse, may cause kidney damage.

Lemon Balm:  Bee, Balm Lemon, Balsam, Melissa, Sweet Balm, Sweet Melissa.  Medical Uses: Flatulent dyspepsia, flu, dyspepsia associated with anxiety & depression, hypertension.  Magical Uses:  Love, success, healing.  How Used:  Ingested, carried, incense, sachets, rubbed.

Lycopodium :  Club Moss, Foxtail, Lycopod, Selago, Vegetable Sulfur, Wolf  Claw.  Magical Uses:  Protection & power. How Used:  Burn, baths.
